Columbarium Trust

What is a Columbarium?
A columbarium is an area set aside for structures which contain Columbarium at CLC

niches for the cremated remains of our loved ones.

What are the advantages of cremation?

1. Cremated remains here at Fairfield Glade on church property.

2. No transfer of remains.

3. Less stressful for surviving family members.

4. Cremated remains may be removed by surviving spouse if said spouse leaves Fairfield Glade.

5. Lower financial expense, no costly casket, burial plot or tombstone.

6. Environmentally sound.

Care and expansion
A trust has been established to assure that funds are available and used for perpetual care and future expansion when necessary. Grounds will be landscaped with trees and shrubbery for beautification and privacy.

Purchase, Refund, and Eligibility Policies:

Purchase
A niche may be purchased for $800.00 each. The cost of a memorial name plate is at the prevailing rate at time of the order and must be obtained at the time the niche is purchased. You will receive a Certificate of Purchase that notes your niche number.

Refunds
If a participant's plans change, they may request a refund from the Board of Trust. Upon receipt of a written request, the board will refund 60% of the purchase price. The Columbarium Board will hold 30% until the resale of the niche(s); the remaining 10% is for maintenance costs. The memorial name plate is non-refundable.

Eligibility
Members of Christ Lutheran Church may purchase niches for themselves and immediate family being: spouse (does not have to be a member of Christ Lutheran Church), mother, father, children and grandchildren.

All donations/or memorials are tax deductible.
