Service Committee
The Service Committee serves the congregation by maintaining an emphasis on service and outreach both internally and externally throughout the year. We assist congregation members with both goods and services, in coordination with Shepherding Groups and the Visiting Stephen Ministry. We provide assistance to a variety of community, national and international organizations through our Benevolence Funds (Outreach) and Barrel Ministry. The Service Committee conducts special local outreach programs at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as, providing a monthly meal at the local homeless shelter. In addition, we support missionaries, mission trips, prison ministry and a number of ELCA Southeastern Synod outreach efforts.
